Northrop Grumman Wants Out of Counter-Narcoterrorism Suit

Northrop Grumman Corp. wants to be removed as a defendant in a whistleblower’s false claims case alleging fraud under a contract to support the U.S. Counter Narcoterrorism Technology Program Office in Afghanistan.

The parent company doesn’t object to the whistleblower adding two of its subsidiaries as defendants in this case, but Northrop Grumman should be dismissed because it has no ties to the allegations, it said in an Oct. 22 filing with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
