Northrop Grumman Recovers $83 Million in Postal Service Case

The US government lost its challenge to a court’s decision that Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. is entitled to $83 million in a 10-year dispute with the US Postal Service concerning a contract to provide mail processing machines known as the Flat Sequencing System.

The government’s reconsideration motion seeking its own award of $55 million for alleged delays by the contractor was denied, Judge Eric G. Bruggink of the US Court of Federal Claims said in a nonprecedential Monday order.
