Columbus LTACH, doing business as Silver Lake Hospital, has agreed to pay more than $18.6 million to resolve alleged violations of the False Claims Act, the Justice Department said Tuesday
The New Jersey long-term care hospital allegedly claimed excessive cost outlier payments from Medicare, according to the department.
Silver Lake has also agreed to pay $12 million to resolve alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that involved the fraudulent transfer of money by the hospital to its investors, the DOJ said.
