New Jersey-based VE Source LLC agreed to pay $7.6 million to settle the government’s claim that the company violated the False Claims Act by fraudulently obtaining government contracts intended for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, according to a federal district court filing.
VE Source and federal prosecutors filed a joint motion for entry of judgment and dismissal of claims Thursday with the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. A magistrate judge will review the motion Aug. 15, the docket says.
Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
