Navy Moves to Arm Warships With Lockheed’s Patriot Missiles (1)

The Navy plans to deploy Patriot missile interceptors aboard US warships in an effort to better protect American vessels from enemy drones and missiles, officials said Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Lockheed Martin Corp. announced a deal to integrate the missiles into a broader weapon system deployed by Navy ships worth about $93 million in the first phase and as much as $200 million over the course of the contract.
