More Problems Found in RTX’s GPS Satellite Control System

Military testers found an array of new flaws in RTX Corp.’s prototype system of ground-control stations for the next generation of GPS satellites, another blow for the long-delayed program.

The fresh delays in the $7.6 billion Next Generation Operational Control System, known as OCX, put “at risk the launch and capability of future GPS satellites,” according to Thomas Ainsworth, the acting Air Force assistant secretary for space acquisition.
