The Minesen Company, the operator of a hotel for military personnel at the Schofield Army Barracks in Hawaii, says the U.S. Army is terminating its contract out of retaliation and that the termination will unlawfully deprive it of its property.
The contractor says that, following its 2017 settlement with the Army over contract disputes, the Army has taken actions to reduce the number of guests at the hotel and deprive Minesen of its leasehold rights. Minesen, who got $8.4 million under the settlement, filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii June 25.
