Marine Corps Aircraft Maintenance Award Withstands Challenge

Strategic Technology Institute Inc. can move ahead with a $31 million task order to provide maintenance services in support of an aircraft the US Marine Corps uses, the Government Accountability Office said.

Protester AVMAC LLC didn’t show that the US General Services Administration, which made the award decision, unfairly engaged in discussions with STI to help it address a deficiency in its bid, the GAO said in a decision released Monday.

A “fatal inconsistency” that GSA failed to raise at an earlier stage in the procurement obligated the agency to allow STI to make a revision, the GAO said.
