ManTech Got Proper Conflict Waiver for $97 Million Army Order

ManTech Advanced Systems International Inc. can perform a $97 million US Army technical support task order despite a protester’s claim the awardee has organizational conflicts of interest, the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

The Army issued a conflicts waiver that satisfied requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the US Government Accountability Office said, rejecting a protest from MAG Aerospace.

The FAR requires agencies to avoid, neutralize, or mitigate potential significant conflicts create unfair advantages. It also permits agencies to waive a contractor’s conflict if doing so is in the government’s interest.
