Los Angeles, Feds ‘on Track’ to Resolve Housing Fraud Claims

US prosecutors and Los Angeles “remain on track to finalize” a settlement in a False Claims Act suit alleging that the city failed to comply with disability requirements in housing supported by federal funds.

The parties have exchanged drafts of an agreement and are working to obtain authority from respective decisionmakers about a settlement by the end of a stay period or May 2, they told the US District Court for the Central District of California in a Thursday status report.
