Lockheed Martin Wins Discovery Standoff in Aircraft Costs Appeal

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. convinced a contract appeals board to compel the U.S. Air Force “to provide more complete responses” in a $144 million aircraft costs dispute despite the agency’s contention that the information isn’t relevant.

Lockheed Martin is free to pursue its theory of the case and seek information it hopes will support its theory, even if evidence is ultimately deemed inadmissible later in the appeal, Administrative Judge Reba Page of the the Armed Service Board of Contract Appeals said in a decision released on Tuesday.
