Mission Support Says DOE Approved Lockheed Martin’s Profit Claim

The U.S. Justice Department’s False Claims Act case against Mission Support Alliance LLC and Lockheed Martin Corp. alleging they made false statements under a multi-billion dollar Department of Energy contract must be dismissed, Mission Support told a federal court.

The contractors can’t be liable for false statements about the amount of profit earned by Lockheed Martin, Mission Support’s subcontractor, because DOE knew about and approved of the manner in which they performed and billed, Mission Support said in its April 23 motion.
