Lockheed Martin Faces Nuclear Cleanup Contract Suit

Mission Support Alliance LLC and Lockheed Martin Corp. submitted false claims and paid kickbacks under a multi-billion dollar contract for the Department of Energy, the Justice Department alleged in a Feb. 8 announcement and complaint.

The defendants knowingly made false statements to DOE about the amount of profit included in Lockheed Martin’s billing rates, and submitted claims with inflated rates in violation of the False Claims Act, the announcement said.

Lockheed Martin also made payments of more than $1 million to Mission Support Alliance executives and defendant Jorge Francisco Armijo to obtain improper favorable treatment in violation of the Anti-Kickback ...
