KBR Sued Over Layoffs in Wake of Canceled $18 Billion Award (1)

A recently terminated KBR Inc. employee accused the company of failing to provide him and other workers with advance notice of layoffs that occurred shortly after a US defense agency’s cancellation of a contract worth billions of dollars.

KBR and subsidiary HomeSafe Alliance LLC had “sufficient warning signs” about the contract termination, and therefore violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act by laying off employees without at least 60 days notice, Peter Sadler told the US District Court for the District of Delaware in a complaint filed Monday.
