Kaiterra Fails to Show Flawed Bundling in Fire Fighting Award

Kaiterra Fire Systems LLC didn’t prove the US Forest Service’s $1.3 billion sole-source contract for aerial long-term fire retardant products and ancillary services unreasonably bundled the requirements, the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

The Forest Service reasonably determined that getting the products and services from a single source—Perimeter Solutions LP—is needed to effectively fight wildfires, the Government Accountability Office said.
