Two employees of South Korea-based SK Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. allegedly participated in a scheme under which they bribed a U.S. official to ensure the receipt of construction contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars, the Justice Department announced Nov. 8.
Hyeong-won Lee and Dong-Guel Lee laundered bribe money through shell companies to hide the conspiracy, destroyed evidence, and tampered with witnesses, the Justice Department said.
The Justice Department charged the employees in a multi-count indictment filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
