Justice Department, Watchdog End Investigations Records Lawsuit

The US Department of Justice and Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington ended a Freedom of Information Act suit accusing DOJ of refusing to confirm or deny the existence of records related to investigations of public officials.

The parties May 15 filed a stipulation of dismissal with the US District Court for the District of Columbia. They didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
