Jury Fails to Reach Verdict in Abu Ghraib Lawsuit Against CACI

A jury on Thursday failed to reach a unanimous decision in the aiding and abetting suit against CACI Premier Technology Inc. alleging abuse of three detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq in 2003 and 2004.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia declared a mistrial and discharged the jury, according to a court filing, which also said parties must file post-trial motions within 14 days.

Judge Leonie M. Brinkema presided over the trial.

CACI filed a motion for judgment as a matter of law on April 17, shortly after trial commenced.
