A $45 billion maximum value radioactive waste cleanup contract will stand despite a claim that a judge of the US Court of Federal Claims improperly interpreted a contract registration rule.

Hanford Tank Disposition Alliance LLC protested March 21 after Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure LLC received the US Department of Energy contract for services at the Hanford Site in Washington state.
