Jacobs Background Check Fraud Suit Dropped by Whistleblower

A whistleblower dropped claims that Jacobs Technology Inc. and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. violated the False Claims Act by failing to satisfy employment eligibility requirements under a $112 million information technology contract for U.S. Special Operations Command.

Tyler Mendelson-Curry filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Jan. 6 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the federal government consented to the dismissal.

Mendelson-Curry’s complaint, unsealed Jan. 2, accused the companies of violating the FCA by not requiring employees to complete I-9 employment eligibility forms.
