Ifone Neda’s Contract Termination Claims Against Army Thrown Out

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service won dismissal of Ifone Neda Internet Service Inc.'s $3.4 million suit alleging that the termination of its contract to provide internet service to US troops in Afghanistan was unconstitutional, according to a federal district court ruling.

AAFES terminated the contract in January 2021 as the Defense Department was reducing its presence in Afghanistan. Ifone said the termination was an unlawful taking under the Fifth Amendment.
