ICE Surge Demands Moving Ahead with B&O’s Glynco Dorm Award

The need to train law enforcement personnel for an upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement surge and to maintain airport safety justified moving forward with a challenged $78 million dorm management services award at the law enforcement training center at Glynco, Ga., the U.S. Court of Federal Claims said.

Safeguard Base Operations LLC’s protest typically would have triggered a stay of B&O Joint Venture LLC’s contract performance, but the Department of Homeland Security reasonably overrode that stay to avoid risking public safety and security, Judge Marian Blank Horn said.
