The US Army is moving too quickly with its plan to build a Texas immigration detention facility for ICE, and a federal court should halt performance of Acquisition Logistics LLC’s $1.3 billion construction task order, Gemini Tech Services LLC says.
Gemini protested Acquisition Logistics’ selection at the Government Accountability Office July 28, which triggered an automatic stay of performance under a contracting statute. The Army’s override decision to allow task order performance is flawed, and the US Court of Federal Claims should enjoin construction, Gemini said in a complaint made public on Tuesday.
