The General Services Administration and Small Business Association has announced a joint effort to increase federal contracting with small disadvantaged businesses, according to the GSA Thursday.
The 8(a) Multiple Award Schedule Pool Initiative will create a pool of 8(a) firms for officials to find and contract with small businesses. Participants in the initiative will receive a designation that indicates eligibility for 8(a) sole-source awards and competitive set-asides, said GSA.
The initiative will build on the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to improve access to federal contracting for socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.
