TriMark Subsidiaries to Pay $48.5 Million Over False Claims Case (Correct)

TriMark USA, LLC of Mansfield, Mass., has agreed to pay $48.5 million to resolve allegations that two of its subsidiaries improperly manipulated federal small business set-aside contracts nationwide, according to a news release Wednesday.

The settlement stands as the largest-ever False Claims Act recovery for allegations of small business contracting fraud, according to the department. Kimberley Rimsza of Phoenix, a former TriMark executive in charge of the company’s government business, has also been fined an additional $100,000 as an individual civil penalty for her conduct, according to the DOJ.
