Global Shield Keeps Contract for Army Health Services in Europe

Global Shield Health Consultants LLC was cleared to provide health services to US soldiers serving in Europe following the rejection of a legal challenge by rival bidder Sterling Health Consultants LLC.

Sterling, the incumbent on the predecessor contract, failed to show that the US Army unfairly weighed negative past performance information before eliminating the company from the competition, Judge Edward H. Meyers of the US Court of Federal Claims said in an opinion made public Thursday. Meyers granted the government’s cross-motion for judgment on the administrative record.
