Gilead Ordered to Show Attorney Bills in HIV Studies Breach Suit

Gilead Sciences Inc. was ordered to provide the US government with unredacted legal invoices and billing records used to support damages arguments in a breach suit against the Centers for Disease Control.

The US Court of Federal Claims previously found that the CDC breached clinical trial agreements by applying for HIV drug patents using the company’s research, and breached material transfer agreements by failing to promptly notify the company of HIV drug inventions derived from work using the company’s research.
