Gemini Succeeds in Protest of $42 Million Army Logistics Order

Gemini Tech Services LLC showed that the US Army improperly awarded JP Logistics & Consulting LLC a $42 million logistics support services task order to be performed at the Army Redstone Arsenal in Alabama, the US Court of Federal Claims said.

The Army reached its award decision without rating bids according to technical acceptability—or by determining which bids had the highest technical ratings—as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Judge Loren A. Smith said in an opinion made public Monday. The court granted Gemini’s motion for judgment on the administrative record April 18, and issued its opinion under seal.
