Ronald A. Villanueva, a former member of the Virginia General Assembly, will serve 30 months in prison for conspiring to fraudulently obtain $80 million in federal contracts, a federal court said.
He must also pay $524,533 in restitution, Judge Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said July 3.
The payment will be divided up among several federal agencies, including the Army, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the court said.
