Ford in Talks to Supply Military Trucks in Europe, North America

Ford Motor Co. is in negotiations with defense departments in Europe and North America to supply pickup trucks and software to their armed forces.

The talks, which began last year, are “productive,” though they haven’t yet yielded a contract, the automaker said Monday in a blog post. Chief Executive Officer Jim Farley told analysts last month the automaker is in “early discussions with the US government on some defense related needs.”

Ford now says the negotiations have involved other countries, which it did not identify.
