Fluor Whistleblowers Advance Logistics Billing Suit to Trial

Four whistleblowers can move their False Claims Act case against Fluor Corp. to trial, which alleges that the defense contractor defrauded the US Army by overbilling for logistics services in Afghanistan, a federal district court said.

Fluor didn’t show that whistleblower suits are unconstitutional, or that the whistleblowers failed to sufficiently allege Fluor billed the government it for services it was required to perform but didn’t, said Judge Joseph Dawson III of the US District Court for the District of South Carolina in a Wednesday order.
