Fluor Scores $9.6 Million in Florida Navy Base Operations Appeal

Fluor Federal Solutions LLC is owed $9.6 million in costs incurred after the US Navy improperly modified its $41 million contract for base support operations in the Jacksonville, Fla., area, a contract appeals board said in a decision released Friday.

The Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals ruled in January 2019 that the Navy didn’t comply with contract terms when it unilaterally extended Fluor’s performance period. The board remanded the appeal to the parties to determine proper compensation, but Fluor in 2020 reported that they couldn’t reach an agreement.
