Fluor Says Bombing Suit Must End Without Access to Military Info

Fluor Corp. told a federal court that a lawsuit accusing it of failing to stop a 2016 suicide bombing attack in Afghanistan can’t proceed because the contractor doesn’t have access to secret U.S. military information about security at Bagram Airfield.

The case can’t be fairly litigated or tried without risking damage to national security by exposing classified information Fluor needs to raise a defense, Fluor told the U.S. District Court for the District South Carolina in a motion Wednesday.
