The Justice Department has reached a settlement worth over $16 million with Floyd Calhoun Dent III to resolve claims that he engaged in a health-care kickback scheme, and made fraudulent transfer payments to family members.
The settlement resolves a 2018 judgment against Dent under the False Claims Act, and resolves allegations that transfers to family members, family corporations, and a family trust violated the Federal Debt Collection Procedures Act, the DOJ’s Monday announcement said.
