FEMA’s $25 Million Security Guard Services Award Beats Protest

IMAQ Walden JV properly received a nearly $25 million contract to provide FEMA with security guard services at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Ala., the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

Protester Ahtna Professional Services Inc. failed to show that the agency’s work plan evaluation was irrational, and that the company should have received an “outstanding” rating instead of “good”, the Government Accountability Office said.

The agency reasonably found that Ahtna didn’t demonstrate an exceptionally thorough and comprehensive understanding of contract requirements, the GAO said.
