Federal prosecutors, Shaver Foods LLC, and Zilka & Co. LLC settled a lawsuit accusing the companies of violating the False Claims Act by overcharging the Federal Bureau of Prisons for diluted spices, a Pennsylvania federal court said.
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed the case in a Wednesday order.
