The FBI erred in awarding Information Systems & Networks Corp. an $80 million background investigative support services contract because the company lacks required experience, according to a rival bidder’s protest.
Incumbent contractor Protection Strategies Inc. says the US Court of Federal Claims should require the FBI to re-evaluate its proposal and prevent Information Systems from proceeding with performance, because the awardee has “almost zero” experience conducting background investigations for the federal government.
Protection Strategies filed its protest under seal Oct. 8, shortly after the FBI announced its award. The court made the redacted complaint public Wednesday.
