Every Minute Counts, GAO’s Property Contract Decision Shows

CWIS LLC failed to timely protest the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s award of a sole-source contract to provide field management services at properties in Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, the Government Accountability Office said.

CWIS, which contends that the sole-source approach is unjustified, unsuccessfully tried to file a protest with the GAO’s electronic filing system one minute before the 10-day deadline, and then emailed the GAO to communicate its difficulty one minute after the deadline passed, the GAO said.
