Erlanger Medical, Whistleblowers Have Deal to Resolve Fraud Suit

Three whistleblowers and Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital System, which does business as Erlanger Medical Center and Erlanger Health System, reached a settlement to end a False Claims Act suit alleging Medicare fraud.

The parties submitted Sunday their notice of filing proposed order dismissing the case to the US District Court Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. The parties April 9 filed a stipulation of dismissal, and the US government consented to dismissal April 10. Terms of the settlement weren’t made available.
