Empower AI Gets Costs from Booz Allen Hamilton Medicaid Protest

Empower AI Inc. should receive costs associated with its protest of an award to Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. of a task order to assess improper payment rates under health-care programs, the US Government Accountability Office said.

The US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services took too long before taking corrective action in response to Empower AI’s clearly meritorious argument against Booz Allen Hamilton’s $109 million award, the GAO said in a decision released Tuesday. In May 2025, the agency said it would amend the solicitation and review revised proposals, the decision said.
