Egypt Radar Support Contract Must Be Stopped, Rival Bidder Says

The US Navy acted unreasonably in awarding a $97 million contract to provide Egypt with a maritime surveillance system under the Foreign Military Sales program, and the contract must be vacated, according to Advanced Technology Systems Co.

The Navy selected Forward Slope Inc. after failing to recognize that Advanced Technology offered the “lower-risk and technically superior” bid, the protester said in a complaint with the US Court of Federal Claims made public Monday. Advanced Technology sued under seal March 21.
