Edgy Bees Stops Former Director’s False Claims Retaliation Suit

A former director for Edgy Bees Inc. failed to properly allege that the technology contractor violated the False Claims Act by firing him in retaliation for calling attention to alleged misconduct under a $12 million Air Force contract, a Maryland federal district court said.

Vincent Hearn didn’t show he was engaged in protected activity under the FCA, Judge George J. Hazel of the US District Court for the District of Maryland said Thursday in granting a motion to dismiss.
