A health-care economist will have another opportunity to argue that he should have access to records related to a False Claims Act suit against TeamHealth, a group of private equity-owned health-care entities, the Fifth Circuit said Thursday.
The district court improperly found that Loren Adler lacked standing to seek unsealing of certain court records and didn’t satisfy the requirements to intervene in the case, Judge Jacques L. Wiener Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said. Wiener reversed and remanded the trial court’s ruling.
