DynCorp to Pay $21 Million Iraq Police Contract Fraud Settlement

DynCorp International LLC will pay $21 million to settle a False Claims Act suit alleging that the government solutions company improperly billed the US Department of State under a contract to train police in Iraq, the Justice Department said.

The settlement covers allegations that DynCorp, which Amentum acquired in 2020, submitted false claims for the provision of lodging and local national labor from 2004 to 2008 under a contract known as “CIVPOL,” the DOJ said in a Wednesday press release announcing the settlement.
