The Department of Justice properly invoked its power under the False Claims Act to end a whistleblower suit accusing skilled nursing services provider SavaSeniorCare LLC of improperly billing Medicare for rehabilitation therapy services, a Tennessee federal court said.
The government demonstrated that allowing Laure Hinds’ suit to continue would waste resources because the government spent years investigating, litigating, and pursuing a settlement in a related, earlier-filed suit against SavaSeniorCare, Judge William L.
