DOJ, Greenway Reach $57M Settlement in Health Records Case (1)

Greenway Health LLC will pay $57.25 million to resolve claims it violated the False Claims Act by selling electronic health record software to health-care providers that didn’t satisfy federal health program standards.

The settlement, announced by the Justice Department Feb. 6, will also resolve claims that Greenway Health made improper payments to boost sales.

Greenway Health entered into a five-year corporate integrity agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services as part of the settlement. The agreement requires Greenway Health to hire an organization to assess its software quality control and compliance systems.
