DOE’s $45 Billion Hanford Cleanup Award Lacked Registration Flaw

The US Department of Energy’s $45 billion maximum value contract to clean up radioactive waste at the Hanford Site in Washington state wasn’t tainted by a contract registration error, the US Court of Federal Claims said.

Hanford Tank Disposition Alliance LLC protested March 21 after Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure LLC received the contract. The awardee is a joint venture of BWXT Technical Services Group Inc., Amentum Environment & Energy Inc., and Fluor Federal Services Inc.
