DOD Moving Needs ‘Vastly’ Different Than Contract, Suddath Says

The US Transportation Command’s $18 billion maximum value household goods moving contract awarded to HomeSafe Alliance LLC should be halted for not being aligned with the government’s needs, according to The Suddath Cos.

The agency’s actual needs “are vastly different” from the requirements in the Global Household Good Relocation Contract solicitation issued in 2019, and Suddath could have won the contract had the agency provided a fair opportunity to compete, the company said in a US Court of Federal Claims complaint made public Friday.

Suddath sued under seal Nov. 8. HomeSafe’s motion to intervene was granted Nov. 13.
