Kearney Gets Government Auditing Contract, Court Says (Correct)

Kearney & Co., is entitled to have a contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency reinstated, the US Court of Federal Claims said.

After Kearney was awarded the contract, Deloitte & Touche LLP protested to the General Accounting Agency. A GAO attorney decided that the solicitation at issue required an exact match between the work the agency sought and the labor categories in Kearney’s proposal.

In response to the GAO attorney’s observation, the agency took corrective action and terminated the award to Kearney and intended to rebid the contract. Both Deloitte and Kearney appealed.
