Defense Logistics Agency Can Advance Software App Procurement

The US Defense Logistics Agency can move forward with a procurement to support the Defense Agencies Initiative’s software application despite a protest from Information Technology Strategies Inc., the GAO said in a decision released Monday.

IT-Strat failed to show that personnel requirements in the request for quotations unfairly favor incumbent contractor CACI Inc.-Federal, the US Government Accountability Office said.

The agency provided a rational explanation for the requirements and showed they reasonably related to the agency’s needs, the GAO said.
